The stadium was filled with fans as they showed excitement each time the two teams came towards the try line. New Zealand took the lead with Marsters, and they were one of the debutants out of 7 in the kiwi side. Isaac Luke played brilliantly through the opponent before he lay on full back Watene Zeleznaik. The response of England was indeed impressive with 32 unanswered points. It started with great effort of Hall from Connor’s pass. It seemed like the winger Leeds Rhinos threw the ball down while finishing.

Sean O’Loughlin, the England captain said that weather was a bit tough, but the players made through it. They had a good week and the victory made them happier. With a good start the team fought back and did show some courage. With the weather conditions, the stadium was not full but the crowd was there on top which made the players feel good and cheered up.

As per Sam Burges, both teams showed their performances with a lot of passion and dedication and that’s exactly what is expected from players in a test match. The Kiwis could prove their point and it was indeed an excellent game.

Michael Maguire, the New Zealand coach felt that the players did control the game well in the initial 20. However, the scores dropped at the back end in the first half, which in turn increased the missing techniques and brought in pressure. As a result, it made the players stronger to perform better. He also gave credit to young players who showed that there is depth in the game and impressed the coach.

All in all, it was a great entertaining night for England and New Zealand edge their way back as they take positives from the game. England was brilliant in its performance and New Zealand heads to England for 3 match series towards the end of Super League season.
